This week we talked about heroic modernism, which lasted from the 1900s to the 1950s. Heroic modernism was heavily influenced by the world around it, meaning historical events like WW1 and all the technological advancements that were happening around it. After the war, people wanted to change up the dyeing style and rejected the old and created a new one. In this time, buildings were made with lots of steel, concrete, and glass. Frank Lloyd Wright, Walter Gropius, Ludwig Mies van der Rohe, and Le Corbusier contributed a lot for this area of design.
